EVRAZ GROUP celebrates five years in the Czech Republic

Ostrava December 3, 2010 Evraz Group, the leading steel and vanadium producer, is celebrating five years since its acquisition of the third biggest Czech steel producer Evraz VItkovice Steel. EVRAZ celebrated its successful presence on the market with its employees and business partners last week in Ostrava.

The employees and their families enjoyed watching the Vitkovice Steel Hockey Team in winning form, as well as a concert featuring the bands Buty and Marcel Woodman's Rock and Roll Band.

EVRAZ also invited its business partners to a gala evening which was held at the Hotel Imperial in Ostrava. Guests had the opportunity to enjoy performances by leading Czech classical music artists, opera singer Eva Drizgova and violinist Jiri Vodicka. "Evraz Vitkovice Steel is our flagship European investment," commented Pavel Tatyanin, senior vice-president of Evraz Group, during the gala evening, adding: "We like doing business in the Czech Republic; it's a very comfortable and dynamic business environment".

During the gala evening, there was an auction of selected pictures painted by handicapped children supported by EVRAZ. The 203,000 CZK profit from the auction goes to the organization BENJAMIN from Petrvald, which helps handicapped children and young people.
