Der Stiftungsfonds Vítkovice Steel unterstützte im Rahmen des Programms Menschen von Steel helfen mit einem Betrag von CZK 41 062 das Projekt " Bauen mit Bob dem Baumeister". Am 22. März 2018 fand die Veranstaltung „Bauen mit Bob dem Baumeister“ statt.

During his two-day visit to the Moravian-Silesian Region, Andrej Babiš, Finance Minister of the Czech Republic visited our company. 

A detailed re-accreditation audit of all testing methods was carried out in VÍTKOVICE STEEL Testing Laboratories. Based on its successful results, the laboratory has been granted an accreditation certificate by the Czech Accreditation Institute for a period of five years. VÍTKOVICE STEEL Testing Laboratories carry out mainly mechanical testing of metal materials focused on the product range manufactured in VÍTKOVICE STEEL, such as heavy plates, sheet piles and cut shapes. 

The Children's Hospice Care Centre was opened on the premises of a former preschool in Ostrava-Zabreh on Gurtjevova Street. It provides comprehensive services for terminally-ill child patients who need palliative care, for whom if hospice services are absent, would have had to remain in a hospital or other medical facility.

The Ostrava zoo offers a new interactive exposition called Butterfly Meadow, warning the visitors of the rapid decrease in the number of butterflies in nature. At the same time the exposition teaches the visitors what is necessary to preclude the extinction of this beautiful species of insects.

The signing and award of donation pledges to successful applicants for financial support under Call I 2015 took place today in the Ostrava MERCURE Hotel.
