The Health Day, held this year on June 6^th at the premises of EVRAZ VITKOVICE STEEL, helps motivate employees to take care of their health and shoes them ways to improve it.

EVRAZ VITKOVICE STEEL has supplied 416 tonnes of plates for the construction of unique KK1300 dredging machines for brown-coal open cast mines.

Dr. Libor Roucek, the vice-chairman of the European Parliament, has visited EVRAZ VITKOVICE STEEL, along with Czech MP Antonin Mastalir and other guests.

The school garden project supported by the Evraz Charity Fund came to fruition in the second half of May 2011. The project, called "A Safe Island for Little Robinsons," with a total value of 370,000 CZK.

The Russian ambassador J.E. Sergej Borisovic Kiseljov visited the premises of EVRAZ VITKOVICE STEEL, the biggest Czech steel plate producer, during his official visit to the Moravian Silesian region on 29^th April.

This year the hockey club HC VITKOVICE STEEL celebrates the 30th anniversary of winning their second championship title. The hockey club decided to commemorate this anniversary by holding a meeting of 1981 champions as well as wearing replica kits in which the team won their last title to date on March 15, 1981 during the match against Kometa Brno.
