VÍTKOVICE STEEL Charity Fund assists disabled children in learning to walk

On February 19, 2015 a new Physical Mobility Centre for Disabled Children, primarily those diagnosed with cerebral palsy or brain injury, was opened in the children's hospital in Klimkovice Spa. A unique gym includes sophisticated physical therapy devices and equipment used for gait training. Here, the children who are not able to stand without help can practice the walking. Intensive therapy brings significant improvement in many patients. VÍTKOVICE STEEL Charity Fund has contributed 300,000 EUR to purchase the Thera-trainer Balo device, which provides vertical balance training for patients with a complete inability to walk. "We would like to thank the VÍTKOVICE STEEL Charity Fund for their financial assistance. We would not be able to equip the Physical Mobilty Centre to such an extent without it." said Romana Holáňová, Head of Rehabilitation in Klimkovice Spa.
