VÍTKOVICE STEEL Changed the Board of Directors, Dmitrij Ščuka Remains to Be the Chairman

The Supervisory Board of Ostrava Vítkovice Steel decided on the new composition of the three-member Board of Directors. Dmitrij Ščuka, the Chairman of the Board of Directors elected again, has been working in this position since 2012 and belongs among the most experienced managers in the steel industry in Central Europe.

MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL CHANGES

Ostrava, 14 December 2018 - VÍTKOVICE STEEL will see a change in top management and the board of directors on 1 January 2019.

On 1 January 2019 Radek Strouhal will take over the position of Chief Financial Officer currently held by Petr Medvedík. Kateřina Nogolová will also become Human Resources Director in place of Hana Hoblíková. At the same time, the Company's Supervisory Board elected Jan Valenta and Radek Strouhal to the Board of Directors. Jan Valenta is the business director of the company since 2016.

In early January 2018, VÍTKOVICE STEEL signed an agreement for loans to cover operational financing in the amount of 26,077,000 Euros with a club of banks consisting of Citibank Europe and Všeobecná úvěrová banka, a.s. (Universal Credit Bank).

Šárka Baborovská new spokesperson for Vítkovice Steel

In January 2018 Šárka Baborovská became the spokesperson for Vítkovice Steel. She will oversee the external communications of the company with the media and provide comprehensive information services to members of the media.
Šárka Baborovská replaces former spokesperson Jaromír Krišica.

VÍTKOVICE STEEL MODERNIZES EQUIPMENT

Ostrava, October 3, 2017 - VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. (the Company) is the only producer of sheet piles in the Czech Republic and one of two in the European Union. In order for the Company to strengthen its market position, it has modernized the rolling mill intended for the production. Investment worth almost 315 million CZK will affect the increase in production capacity, expansion of the product portfolio, reduction of natural gas consumption, and reduction of NOx emissions.

VÍTKOVICE STEEL ELECTRIFIES PASSENGER TRANSPORT

Ostrava, 24 July 2017 - To reduce both the environmental burden on the Ostrava region and the company's transport costs, VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. (the Company) put into operation six electric cars for transport of its employees within the urban area. The cars can drive approximately 160 km on a single charge, with an expected life of at minimum 6-8 years.
