EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL will resume operations at the steel mill. The planned date of resumption is May 1st, 2013.

A hockey wager helped children from kindergartens in the Třinec area acquire new polytechnic building blocks worth 60.000 CZK. The stakes were to determine which of the two teams, HC Vítkovice Steel or HC Oceláři Třinec, will rank higher after the first round of the playoffs. The team supported by Třinecké železárny ranked higher than HC Vítkovice, whose general partner is EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL.

EVRAZ plc (LSE: EVR) today announces its preliminary audited results for the year ended 31 December 2012. 

For the first time in its history EVRAZ introduces the joint portfolio of the EVRAZ Vítkovice Steel (Czech Republic) and EVRAZ Palini e Bertoli (Italy) in the framework of Italian “Made in Steel” trade fair. 

The company EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. and the unions ZO OS KOVO Vítkovice Ocelárna a Válcovny (the metalworker’s federation at the Vítkovice steel mill and rolling mill) have reached a consensus about the parameters of their collective agreement for 2013 – 2018. 

The term for re-start of the temporarily closed steel plant of EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. has been set for January 3, 2013, provided that particular circumstances such as adverse weather conditions do not prevent it.
