For the second time this year representatives of non-profit organizations in the Moravian-Silesian Region met with EVRAZ Charity Fund (ECF) management to sign a charitable contribution designation, representing in total 5.3 million CZK to support their activities. From a total of 89 applications requesting 13 million CZK, the Board of Trustees selected 41 projects aiming to help the Moravian-Silesian Region. Together with the selected projects from the first round of ECF funds allocated in the spring, a total of 9 million CZK to support 73 projects dealing with disabled children, education and sports were allocated. In addition to the aforementioned projects, ECF funded curative and therapeutic stays of children from the Mariánské Hory and Hulváky districts totalling almost 1 million CZK.

Representatives of EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL and Třinecké železárny placed a bet on which of their teams will rank higher after the opening round of the playoff. The wager was agreed upon during the steelproducer derby at a game between HC VÍTKOVICE STEEL and HC Oceláři Třinec on Sunday, December 9^th, 2012, in Ostrava‘s ČEZ Aréna. Each party staked 30,000 CZK. The winner will take the prize money of 60,000 CZK and put it towards a selected regional charity project. 

The EVRAZ Charity Fund (ECF) invites the applicants for a grant to submit their applications for the second time this year. Organizations from the Moravian-Silesian region that are helping handicapped children and children with cerebral palsy can submit their projects by October 31, 2012. The amount ready for the approved projects from second call is 5 million crowns. 

EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL has signed a general partnership contract with Hockey Club VITKOVICE STEEL and remains the club’s general partner also for this new season.

16 July 2012 — EVRAZ plc (LSE: EVR) today released its operational results for the second quarter of 2012. 

The Clarion Congress Hotel in Ostrava hosted a meeting of the representatives of non-profit organizations from the Moravian-Silesian Region with the leaders of the EVRAZ Charity Fund (ECF) in order to sign donation agreements to support the 32 selected projects in a summary amount of 3.7 million Czech crowns.
