DAYS OF RUSSIA took place in Ostrava between June 13th and June 17th. EVRAZ VITKOVICE STEEL is a traditional partner of the event, which focuses on mutual co-operation between the Czech Republic and the Russian federation.

The Health Day, held this year on June 6^th at the premises of EVRAZ VITKOVICE STEEL, helps motivate employees to take care of their health and shoes them ways to improve it.

EVRAZ VITKOVICE STEEL has supplied 416 tonnes of plates for the construction of unique KK1300 dredging machines for brown-coal open cast mines. This dredging machine is the first type of machine completed in the Czech Republic for the mining company Severoceske doly for almost 25 years.

Dr. Libor Roucek, the vice-chairman of the European Parliament, has visited EVRAZ VITKOVICE STEEL, along with Czech MP Antonin Mastalir and other guests.

The school garden project supported by the Evraz Charity Fund came to fruition in the second half of May 2011.

Russian ambassador visits EVRAZ VITKOVICE STEEL. The Russian ambassador J.E. Sergej Borisovic Kiseljov visited the premises of EVRAZ VITKOVICE STEEL, the biggest Czech steel plate producer, during his official visit to the Moravian Silesian region on 29^th April.
