Hockey Academy has begun again

Since the beginning of November socially disadvantaged children meet again at regular trainings of ice hockey. A total of 17 children ages 6-8 registered for the third season of the VÍTKOVICE STEEL Hockey Academy, which is a joint project of VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. and HC VÍTKOVICE STEEL. Under the supervision of professional coaches and league club players they have the opportunity to spend their leisure time actively, learn about team spirit and overcoming obstacles. Dmitrij Ščuka, Chairman of the Board at VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s., said: "We are not only interested in the support of top-level sport, we also want for those who are often seen as outsiders to get an opportunity." In the past two seasons, 40 children age 9-15 from a socially disadvantaged environment participated in the Hockey Academy.
