Russian ambassador visits EVRAZ VITKOVICE STEEL
The Russian ambassador J.E. Sergej Borisovic Kiseljov visited the premises of EVRAZ VITKOVICE STEEL, the biggest Czech steel plate producer, during his official visit to the Moravian Silesian region on 29th April. The ambassador had a meeting with the top management of the company, at which Zbynek Kvapik, general director and the chairman of the board of EVS, presented the company, its production methods, and the synergies of Evraz Group. The ambassador was interested in the actual situation on the plate market as well as in the overall running of the company.
The ambassador appreciated both the approach of the company in the area of employment during the temporary shutdown of the steelshop last year, and its socially-responsible activities in the region. The ambassador also visited the company's 3.5 m Four-High rolling mill, accompanied by the consul general and honorary consul.
