The Evraz Charity Fund supported the Olympics for Children and Youth

Between January 29 and February 3, 2012 the Moravian-Silesian Region with the support of the Evraz Charity Fund hosted the 5th Winter Olympics for Children and Youth of the Czech Republic. Hana Jelínková, a member of the board of trustees of the Evraz Charity Fund attended the opening ceremony on behalf of the Evraz Charity Fund.

Winter Olympics for Children and Youth represents the top Czech competition for regional teams in the schoolchildren category. The organizers make the best effort to invoke the mood of the real Olympics. During the opening ceremony an original Olympic fire was lit, the sportsmen took the Olympic oath and the winners were awarded during the medal ceremonies. Hana Jelínková said, ”We are proud that we were able to support the event financially and that volunteers from the ranks of our employees went to help with the organization in their free time. We want to thank them heartily!”

The jubilee tenth year of the project sponsored by the Czech Olympic Committee, who was the co-organizer together with the regions, was hosted in the Moravian-Silesian Region with a participation of more than 1300 sportsmen, coaches and leaders of delegations.
