On August 30, 2007 the Social Care Asylum in Hrabyně (SCA Hrabyně) organized the 6th year of the Sports Day for physically handicapped people. This year 122 competitors participated in nine disciplines (such as driving a mechanical or electrical wheelchair, shooting from the air rifle, archery, grenade and cricket ball throwing, etc.).

During the sporting day a special prize was awarded for the first time - the “Wheelchair Bounds Award”. The wheelchair users from the Social Care Asylum on Hrabyně will thus award their partners and also significant projects improving the life quality of disabled people. Due to the fact that it was the first year, four organizations were awarded. The “Wheelchair Bounds Award” was handed over to the company Evraz Vítkovice Steel, to the Všeobecná zdravotní pojišťovna (General Health Insurance Agency), to the Hutnická zaměstnanecká pojišťovna and to the company Provident Financial.

On behalf of the company Evraz Vítkovice Steel the award was taken over by its Finance Director, Mr. Petr Jůza; it was handed over by the SCA Hrabyně Director, Mr. Vladimír Plaček.

The company Evraz Vítkovice Steel has been cooperating with the SCA in Hrabyně on a long-term basis, currently as its General Partner.
