Introduction

Accredited test laboratories of VÍTKOVICE STEEL No 1634
The test laboratories of VÍTKOVICE STEEL are accredited by the Czech Institute for Accreditation, o.p.s on the basis of meeting of requirements of standard ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005. The test laboratories of VÍTKOVICE STEEL are a member of the Association of Czech Testing Laboratories, z. s.
The laboratories are a part of the organisational structure of the company VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. and as part of its activities it has long participated actively in testing of the mechanical properties of products from the VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. portfolio.

Services offered

  • We implement a wide range of mechanical tests, including verification and testing of chemical analysis of low and medium alloyed steel.
  • Short deadlines of performed testing, individual price policy for individual customers.

Mechanical test laboratory

The mechanical properties laboratory performs the following tests:

  • tensile tests – ranging from 10 N to 1600 kN, for selected equipment with possibility of performing tests at temperatures from 50 °C to +1100 °C,
  • impact bend tests using impact hammer with nominal energy 300 J and 450 J in range of test temperatures from -196 °C to + 90 °C,
  • DWTT tests using impact tester with nominal energy up to 100 kJ in range of test temperatures from -60°C to + 60 °C,
  • hardness tests according to Brinell, Rockwell and Vickers with wide range of measuring scales,
  • technological and other tests (bend tests, weld - bend),
  • lamellar tear tests.

Chemical laboratory

  • Quantitative analysis of unalloyed and alloyed steels - spectrometric method.
