The 12th annual representation ball of the city part of Ostrava-Vítkovice was held on Saturday, 26th January 2008 at the hotel ATOM. Again, the company EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. was its general sponsor. Among others, the performance of a legendary duo Kamélie was part of a rich programme and announcement of the best ten sportsmen of the year 2007.

Even general partnership has its traditions … Like in the previous years also this year EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL was the general partner of already the 10th year of the representative ball of the Ostrava – Vítkovice city district, which was held on January 28, 2006 in the Atom hotel. The traditional ball in Vítkovice is a place for pleasant meetings not only with business partners but also with important representatives of the city and the region as well as with representatives of other institutions.

EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL was the main partner of the 4th Year of Sport Games For The Handicapped held in August 2005 at the premises of the Social Care Institution in Hrabyně. The competition included mechanical and electrical wheelchair race on a round course, wheelchair slalom race, air rifle shooting and cricket-ball throwing, javelin throwing and rubber grenade throwing.

Support of economic prosperity of the Czech Republic in the European Union as well as far beyond EU by promoting and awarding particular personalities who significantly contributed to improving the economy and making the live in the Czech Republic more attractive
– this was the main reason for publishing the Almanac 100 Best … of the Czech Republic” the preparation of which was assisted by EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a. s.

It has become a tradition that during the 3rd Spring Ball in the ATOM hotel, which was organized in the partnership with EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL, the charity donation with a total value of 900 000 crowns was handed over to the benefactress Mrs. Tereza Maxová. The donation will be used to support children without parents placed in institutions and in step families in the Moravian and Silesian Region.
