A successful volleyball team of the Czech extra league VK DHL Ostrava (www.vk-dhl.cz) has brought up a whole number of successful volleyball representatives since 1921 when the club was established. The fact that the team is one of the best ones in the Czech extra league was accomplished mainly by the current sportsmen in the team. And also the assistance of the club’s partners, including EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL, has played a significant role in this achievement.

In the fall of 2005, the athletic field in Ostrava – Vítkovice hosted the European Championship of Firefighters and Rescue Squads with EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL as one of the partners. The Czech representation won in the spellbinding battle of the individual teams beating not only the valid world record but the Czech representation has become also “European Master in the fire attack”.
