Training and skills development

In today’s dynamic corporate environment, investing in employee develop-ment is a key element of success. Our company is fully aware of the importance of continuous learning and supports its employees in their personal and pro-fessional growth. With this commitment in mind, we offer a variety of training opportunities and innovative programs that go beyond the normal standards.

Seduo: an innovative platform for education

One of the key steps we have taken to promote continuous employee learning is our partnership with the Seduo learning platform. Employees have access to a wide range of online courses and trainings that contribute to their professio-nal development. This flexibility allows our employees to acquire new skills and knowledge at their own pace.

English workshops: improving language skills

Aware of the importance of international communication, we provide our em-ployees with the opportunity to participate in English workshops. These events not only promote the improvement of language skills, but also offer a space to deepen relationships between co-workers. Based on the needs of employees in a particular workplace, we provide the opportunity for individual English language training.

Czech workshops focused on soft skills development

These courses will help employees strengthen skills that are key to effective communication, teamwork and personal growth. These training courses are led by industry experts and provide concrete tools and techniques that em-ployees can immediately apply to their working lives.

We also have development programmes for individual groups of employees based on the needs of their job. Employees are nominated for these programs by their supervisors based on annual employee evaluations.

Development programme for managers

We created a dedicated programme for managers in 2023 that emphasised not only management and leadership skills, but also strategic thinking and an innovative approach. The training supports effective team management and the achievement of corporate goals.

Development programme for masters

Masters play a key role in the practical implementation of company processes. Our 2023 Master Development Program was designed to provide the technical and organizational skills needed to successfully lead work teams. Through training in effective communication and planning, foremen are able to lead their teams to optimal results.

Talent programme

In 2023, a talent program was also conducted, for which employees were selected based on their potential. This programme enables participants to undergo intensive personal and professional development under the guidance of industry experts.

Training programmes for trainees, officers and specialists will take place in 2024.

Flexibility in education: supporting individual development

We understand that each employee has unique needs and goals. That’s why we allow employees to request additional training activities outside of our standard offerings. We can accommodate such individual requests and provide a personalized training plan.

We have introduced a Code of Conduct for Business Partners, which is an integral part of our Terms and Conditions of Purchase. By entering into a contract, our suppliers and partners explicitly commit to the principles of this Code, thereby jointly promoting responsible and ethically sustainable business.

Endowment Fund

The VÍTKOVICE STEEL Foundation has been helping since 2006. Thanks to out support families can provide better care for children with mental or physical disabilities. Our long-term commitment is to provide as much direct supports as possible, making it easier fo families to secure treatment and rehabalitation aids, education or medical assistance. We contribute to creating dignified and fulfilling lives not only for children but also for seniors. We support non-profit organizations because we consider it important to be active in the fields of social welfare, health, science, education, physical education and sports. Through the VITKOVICE STEEL Endowment Fund, we have already helped with more that 76 million crowns. In this way, we actively support and shape positive changes in the society and locality of our region.

#STEEL Cooperation with universities

We are proud partner of the Technical University of Ostrava and actively support the development of education and innovation. Out cooperation includes lectures by experts from out company, regular meetings with representatives of schools to develop joint activities for students and make technical fields more attractive, cooperation on professional articles, financial support for event of VŠB-TUO.

General partnership of college hockey league BO OSTRAVA VÍTKOVICE STEEL

We are passionate supporters of sport and believe in its ability to bring people together and provide entertainment. As the general partner of the college hoc-key league BO OSTRAVA VÍTKOVICE STEEL, we support young talents and pro-mote sportsmanship and fair play. The young generation is our future.

This year has once again confirmed that solidarity and a desire to help are deeply rooted in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The Board of Trustees will distribute CZK 2.5 million this year, which is half a million more than last year.
