In Brno on October 11, 2007 - International Engineering Fair in Brno belongs to the best engineering exhibitions in the Czech Republic with average participation about 2000 companies. The part of the fair is also the competition for the most attractive exhibition AURA organized by Brněnské veletrhy a výstavy, a.s. The expert jury supervised by Ing. Arch. Hana Ryšavá, CSc. assesses the architectonic scheme and solution, visual design, operation and function of the exhibition in four categories. The exhibition of the company EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. won in the category from 101 m2 to 300 m2. Among the first competitors also the exhibition of the Company was ranked in the competition AURA in the last year.
The final design of the stand was solved on the basis of strictly defined requirements in the competition of selected architects. The winning exposition design was consequently finally co-processed with the winning author Ing. Arch. Zdeněk Škrla. The other team members are the artist sculptor Boris Holub, art director of the Agency API, s.r.o. and Renáta Kapoková Mecová from the Agency API that was responsible for the entire production of the Fair. The exhibition was implemented by the Company Veletrhy Brno, a.s.
The whole architectonic and design concept and solution is submitted in particular to call attention to the fact that the name of the Company was changed from VÍTKOVICE STEEL to EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL. At the same time the demand to dominant information in the domain of the Company reference products is considered. The stand dominant area presents new Company logo expressing context between original and new Company names. The exhibition stand is designed so that its single areas are uniquely determined, including conference rooms for various negotiation levels and hidden rooms of facilities, servicing and stores. The functionalism elements contrast to the photographs and plasma TV screens where film presentation is displayed. All that is producing dynamic sequences of events attracting every visitor, no matter whether he is an expert or laic, along with the overall concept of the exhibition. The exhibition is fine-tuned by suitable complements and nifty clothes of hostesses corresponding with the colour tone of the exhibition.
The EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. Chairman of Board and Director General, Ing. Vladimír Bail, Ph.D., expressed his great satisfaction with the victory of the exhibition in the competition: „I am extremely pleased that the positive assessment of our exhibition, expressed by our guests, was acknowledged also by the victory in the AURA competition and so I thank to the entire team for this primacy".
At the stand we could see the presentation of the ship the class Freedom in many variations that is at present the largest cruiser all over the world - Liberty of the Seas that was put to sea in May of this year. The capacity is 3,600 passengers (plus 1,400 persons of the crew) and can be loaded with 155 000 tons. Her length is 339 m, width 39 m and the speed is 22 knots (40 km/hr).
The Company EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. is supplying ship plates for building of the luxury ships class Freedom since the year 2006. The shipbuilder is the Finnish shipyard Aker Yards in Turku and the end user is the Company Royal Caribbean.

EVRAZ VITKOVICE STEEL concentrates on the production of steel and steel products - heavy plates, heavy and medium sections, and flame-cut shapes from heavy plates. The company aims to continue increasing the sales of its products with high added value, such as deliveries of plates for pipelines.
