On April 1, the VÍTKOVICE hockey club will change its name to HC VÍTKOVICE STEEL. On this day, the contract for general partnership between VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a. s., and the VÍTKOVICE hockey club, which was signed in the second half of this January, will enter in force. As of March 31, 2005, the hockey club fulfilled all the conditions arising from the contract, and so as of April 1, 2005 VÍTKOVICE STEEL becomes an official general partner of the Vítkovice hockey team.
„I am glad that I can announce that the hockey club fulfilled all the conditions and at the same time that after one year of intensive work the Vítkovice hockey team has a new general partner which becomes a part of the official name of the club, i.e. HC VÍTKOVICE STEEL,“ said Aleš Pavlík, the general manager of HC VÍTKOVICE. „I am looking forward and I strongly believe in a long-term and mutually successful co-operation“.
