Plates / Introduction

The plate rolling mill was founded in 1971 and underwent extensive modernisation in 1999, which permitted a significant improvement in the geometry of rolled plate, surface quality and expansion of range. Plates are manufactured from continuously cast slabs.
The range of plates is rolled in thicknesses 5 - 100mm (200mm) and widths 1000 - 3200 mm.

The quality range has these applications of use:

  • steel and bridge structures
  • ships
  • transport machines and vehicles
  • abrasion resistant plates
  • pressure vessels used at normal and high temperatures
  • special military equipment
  • plates resistant to atmospheric corrosion
  • flame-cut shapes
  • pipelines
  • offshore constructions
