VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. HAS BECOME A CERTIFIED SUPPLIER OF PLATES FOR THE PETROLEUM INDUSTRY

VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. has become a certified supplier of plates for the petroleum industry on the North American market. Some time ago, representatives of the American Petroleum Institute (API) completed an inspection audit and awarded the company with a certificate that opens the way to customers among renown companies, suppliers of oil and gas pipelines. Currently, VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. is negotiating the supplies of the above mentioned plates.

After the completion of the American certification for the petroleum industry, VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. may be seeking for interesting contracts throughout the world. The company has a plates quality system certified by two independent world leading companies, i.e., the German RW TÜW and the American API, which in the eyes of experts is an important reference. VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. entered the new market segment with a job order which the company completed in February for Egypt. This job order is worth 65 million crowns. The company is currently negotiating on another three such contracts.

VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. owns approximately fifty product certificates without which the company would not be able to make supplies for the foreign or domestic market. Last year, VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. received quality certificate for ship-building plates from an Italian inspection company RINA through which large quantities of ship-building plates are exported to Croatian ship-yards. Another prolongation of product certificate was granted by UDT Warsaw which, based on the Polish legislation, issues certificates necessary for export to Poland.
