DAYS OF RUSSIA took place in Ostrava between June 13th and June 17th. EVRAZ VITKOVICE STEEL is a traditional partner of the event, which focuses on mutual co-operation between the Czech Republic and the Russian federation. The programme of the event was divided into several parts addressing different topics such as international trade and importing energy. Zbyněk Kvapík, CEO and chairman of the board of EVS, presented the company's activities as part of the "Business and corporate social responsibility" segment. Other speakers on this theme included Marian Lebiedzik, deputy to the director of the Moravian-Silesian regional authority and Pavel Bartoš, vice-president of the Czech Chamber of Commerce. Days of Russia guests also had the chance to visit EVS'3.5 m Four-High rolling mill and steelshop.
There was also an official dinner with the representatives of the city of Ostrava and a concert in the Theatre of Antonin Dvorak to mark the public holiday in the Russian Federation.
