EVRAZ VITKOVICE STEEL SUCESSFULLY PASSES SERIES OF RECERTIFICATION AUDITS

Both the American Petroleum Institute (API) and TÜV NORD carried out a Quality Management System recertification audit at EVRAZ VITKOVICE STEEL and found EVS processes compatible with EN ISO 9001. TÜV NORD also audited the company's Environment Management System and found it in complete compliance with EN ISO 14001:2004.

EVS also underwent and successfully passed the annual Deutsche Bahn audit. As a result the company will keep the "Q1-Supplier" certificate for hot rolled construction steel products for the German railways according to DBS 918 002-02 and the HPQ certificate for the production of continuously cast slabs according to DBS 918 002-02, both for another 3 years. These product certificates enable EVS to supply steel products for the construction of railway bridges in Germany as well as other products for German railways.

Det Norske Veritas, one of the three major companies in the area of classification companies in addition to Lloyd's Register and the American Bureau of Shipping, granted EVS an MSA (Manufacturing Survey Arrangement) certificate. This certificate entitles EVS' experts to carry out inspections of products - acting as the representatives of the inspection company. The DNV inspectors found EVS 95 % successful which places the company in the "excellent" category. EVS holds similar certificates from Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, RINA and RMRS.
