The Health Day, held this year on June 6th at the premises of EVRAZ VITKOVICE STEEL, helps motivate employees to take care of their health and shoes them ways to improve it. At the Health Day, employees had the chance to have their blood tested, blood-type identified, have an ECG, plethysmography, and get their cholesterol and blood sugar levels checked. Employees also had their height, weight, and body fat measured, and their eye sight and birth-marks checked. Based on the results, the specialists from Vitkovice hospital advised them on a healthy diet, and how to prevent heart problems, lower cholesterol levels, and take care of high blood pressure. Employees further had the opportunity to get a fitness profile, and undergo flexibility and muscular ability tests. During the Health Day, there were presentations and tastings of health food products, as well as presentations of prevention programmes and various competitions. The caterer EUREST served up healthy meals in its canteens.
