As the prices of raw materials and energies rise, we were looking for the best solution to optimize the consumption of basic timber. We analyzed data and identified high cost in the purchase of base timber. We divided the optimization of timber consumption into two stages. In phase we designed an optimal size of the new base timber, whereas the reduction in length and cross section would reduce its volume by 46 %. In total numbers, the annual saving is going to be 1,179 m3 of timber, which corresponds to 4.5 ha of forest growth and on average 4 trees saved every day. The resulting effect is not only economic but also environmental. With all the global climatic changes these days, each tree saved is very important for the sustainable development of next generations.
