This year the hockey club HC VITKOVICE STEEL celebrates the 30th anniversary of winning their second championship title. The hockey club decided to commemorate this anniversary by holding a meeting of 1981 champions as well as wearing replica kits in which the team won their last title to date on March 15, 1981 during the match against Kometa Brno.

EVRAZ VITKOVICE STEEL has signed a declaration with the deputy marshal of the Moravian Silesian region expressing their agreement in approach to the problem of air protection. The company joins other industrial companies which are voluntarily cutting down on their production even before the smog situation is announced in the region.
