COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT IN VÍTKOVICE STEEL HAS BEEN SIGNED

After long and difficult negotiations, the collective agreement for this year was signed by both parties in VÍTKOVICE STEEL this morning. The collective agreement effective for the years 2004 – 2006 was signed last year, so the main bargaining was focusing on the financial part of the agreement.

VÍTKOVICE STEEL WILL NOT BE TAKEN BY SURPRISE BY SNOW OR FROST!

Almost ten tons of road spreading salt, five tons of sand and another 40 tons of crushed slag – this is the stock of road spreading material of VÍTKOVICE STEEL for this winter. This material will be used for maintenance of sidewalks inside the premises of the company as well as for maintenance of most frequently used sidewalks leading to tram stops and bus stops.

WHEN SHIPS MAKE BOOM...

VÍTKOVICE STEEL supplied more than 3 000 tons of ship-building plates to Aker Finnyards, Rauma, for erection of 177 m long and 28 m wide „genuine“ luxurious yacht named BIRKA PARADISE, which the ship-yard handed over this week to the client, i.e., to a Swedish company called Birka Line.

BRIDGES WITH THE SIGNATURE OF VÍTKOVICE STEEL

These days, the last plates for the motorway bridge with a working name Rojek are being dispatched from VÍTKOVICE STEEL. The bridge which will be a part of motorway D 47 will lead across the Polanecká junction, across the Rojek pond and across the Czech Railway track.
