Ostrava, 08.01.2009. A Finnish ship manufacturer STX Europe launched the largest cruiser in the world Oasis of the Seas. On water, the ship will be finished by the end of 2009 and first passangers will board the ship on 12th December 2009.

Ostrava September 16, 2008 – EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL company is celebrating 100th anniversary of its foundation this year, but this week there is another reason for celebration.

Ostrava, August 28, 2008 - Today the seventh year of Sport games for physically handicapped people took place in Social care institute for physically handicapped people in Hrabyně. The aim of the games, which are becoming more popular year by year, is to show that also disabled people love enjoying themselves, compete and live actively.

Last June the integration of Vítkovice Steel into Evraz Group was completed, and the company took the name EVRAZ VÍTKOVICE STEEL. This week the company management and staff have commemorated the first anniversary with the new name.

Independence of the Seas, currently one of the three biggest passenger ships in the world, set sail on its maiden voyage on May 12 from the English port of Southampton. EVRAZ VITKOVICE STEEL, a.s. supplied more than 6 000 tons of ship-building plates.

Strizkov station in Prosek will be inaugurated on the extended line C of the Prague Underground. The station is the first of three to complete the new line. The station is considered one of the most interesting construction of today and has gained many awards during its construction.
